STAY STRONG
EXERCISE & MOVEMENT
Stay Strong is a 12-week in-person physical exercise program designed for adults diagnosed with cancer. The program is led by a Registered Nurse (RN) and Physiotherapist (PT).
The main objective of the Stay Strong program is to minimize the negative side effects that can be experienced from cancer treatments. The program can also improve quality of life and allow individuals to maintain their independence.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Stay Strong is open to adults who have undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or another form of cancer treatment within the last five (5) years.
Participants must have medical clearance to participate in the Stay Strong program.
Stay strong program details
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, drop-in between 12:30pm-3:30pm
Where: Northside Y at Willie O'Ree Place (1st Floor) in Fredericton, NB
Commitment: 2 sessions per week for 12 weeks
Stay Strong is FREE to participants thanks to generous donors and community partners of the Chalmers Foundation.
