WHAT TO EXPECT

The Stay Strong program is a free 12-week in-person program consisting of physical exercise and education sessions designed for adults diagnosed with cancer. The program is led by a Registered Nurse (RN) and Physiotherapist (PT).

The main objective of the Stay Strong exercise program is to minimize the negative side effects that can be experienced from cancer treatments. The program can also improve quality of life and allow individuals to maintain their independence.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Stay Strong is open to adults who have undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or another form of cancer treatment within the last five (5) years.

Participants must have medical clearance to participate in the physical activity part of the program.

Stay strong SESSION DETAILS

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, drop-in between 12:30pm-3:30pm

Where: Northside YMCA at Willie O'Ree Place (1st Floor) in Fredericton

Commitment: 2 sessions per week for 12 weeks
