In April 2024, Horizon Health Network's Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (SCCR) hosted its Bikes & Trikes Clinic, bringing smiles, freedom, and new opportunities to children like Anderson. Anderson, who lives with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome — a rare genetic disorder that affects multiple organ systems and growth — was thrilled to participate alongside his mom, Alicia.

The clinic provides customized adaptive bikes, designed specifically to meet each child’s physical needs, offering both rehabilitative benefits and the simple joy of being active outdoors. Thanks to his new bike, Anderson will enjoy a summer filled with movement, fresh air, and fun. For families like his, the impact of this clinic is truly life-changing.
