PEER SUPPORT

INDIVIDUAL & GROUP SUPPORT

Peer Support connects individuals with lived-cancer experiences and their caregivers with others who have had similar experiences, fostering emotional healing and resilience.

Wellspring Peer Support volunteers have their own cancer journey. They are specially trained to provide emotional and coping support, as well as assist in identifying and accessing programs that are designed to meet the needs they express.

The diagnosis of cancer, be it a first diagnosis or recurrence, can be devastating and have a significant impact on the emotional well-being and coping capacity of both the diagnoses and their loved ones. The Peer Support program provides individuals with lived-cancer experiences and their caregivers with an opportunity to speak privately and in confidence with an empathetic and knowledgeable peer.

Peer Support is FREE to participants thanks to generous donors and community partners of the Chalmers Foundation.
