What is third-party fundraising?
A third-party event is an independent event, program, or initiative undertaken and executed by a corporation, local business, community organization, or individual for the purpose of raising funds in support our charity! Remember you decide where your donation is directed.

Yes! We will include the details of your event in our monthly e-Bulletin, our website and our social media channels. Any additional promotion is up to the event organizers.

Yes, please complete the appropriate checkbox on the Third-Party Event Application Form, and the logo will be emailed to you. Any organization/group wishing to use the Chalmers Foundation name or logo on any materials, including advertising, must receive prior approval from the Chalmers Foundation. Logo will be emailed to you, once the Application form has been signed.

Please make cheques payable to the Chalmers Foundation.
Cash must be in a sealed envelope, counted, with a count sheet detailing the funds included.

It is the responsibility of the event organizers to recruit, train and manage all volunteers. Involvement of Chalmers Foundation staff and volunteers will be at our discretion and will be based on availability, location, and the nature of the event.

The Chalmers Foundation will not be responsible for any damage or accidents to any persons or property; we will not assume any legal or financial liability caused before, during or after the event. It is advisable that you seek guidance and direction from your own insurance broker on this matter.

The Chalmers Foundation can provide existing print materials about our programs and services. We may also supply a banner, subject to availability. Please provide us with all requests for Chalmers Foundation materials a minimum of 14 days prior to your event. The third-party event organizer agrees to ensure that all materials borrowed are returned promptly and in the same condition they were received. The organizer agrees to accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials borrowed from the Chalmers Foundation.

ItIt is the responsibility of the third-party event organizer to obtain any licenses necessary. Application for Lottery Registration.

It is the responsibility of the third-party event organizer to solicit prizes for your event. We can provide a letter from Chalmers Foundation authenticating your event to support your solicitation efforts. If you require a letter from Chalmers Foundation authenticating your event, please email your request to: leslie.saad@horizonnb.ca or call 506-470-1263.
Partnership Guidelines
When advertising your event, please state that your event is “in support of” the Chalmers Foundation. Chalmers Foundation. When posting on social media, please tag our social media channels.

The third-party event organizer will be responsible for all costs related to the event and will handle all monies until the official donation is submitted to the Chalmers Foundation. Event expenses are to be deducted before sending proceeds to the Chalmers Foundation. Chalmers Foundation shall incur no costs unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the event or promotion.
The organization group agrees to handle all monetary transactions for the third-party event. When tax receipts are requested, the third-party event organizer is responsible for collecting the names, addresses and contact information of all donors, and is required to mail the appropriate materials to the Chalmers Foundation within 14 days of the conclusion of the event.
