Cancer Support Program

Cancer Support Program

In 2024, the Chalmers Foundation launched a $1.5 million initiative to expand cancer support services in the Greater Fredericton Area, providing free and accessible community-based programs to those with lived cancer experiences and their support persons.

At Chalmers Foundation Cancer Support, we understand that every cancer journey is unique, but no one should walk it alone. Our support is grounded in shared experience and community. Whether someone is newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, in recovery, or navigating life after cancer, we offer a safe space where individuals and families can feel seen, heard, and supported.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer by delivering comprehensive, whole-person care and support at every stage of their cancer journey.

Chalmers Foundation Care & Support Centre

In May 2025, the doors opened to the Chalmers Foundation Care & Support Centre providing a dedicated space for those in our community impacted by cancer, offering free and accessible programs, support, and resources under one roof.

The goal is to enhance physical well-being, emotional and social resilience, and community connection for individuals with lived cancer experiences and their support supports at any point in their journey.
