We have recently announced our largest campaign to date: the Chalmers Care for Kids campaign. This is a $2.2M project that will completely renovate the current pediatric unit.

The Pediatric Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital provides care to children from infancy up to 17 years of age with a wide variety of health conditions. They treat children who are required to stay at the hospital to receive care, as well as those coming for tests, education, procedures and various programs but do not require hospital admission.

The current unit consists of 12 inpatient beds and a designated outpatient area. There is currently no designated area for children of any age admitted to the pediatric unit with mental health issues.

This new campaign will enhance patient flow creating an area specifically designed for youth with mental health conditions, modify outpatient clinic space and refurbish inpatient rooms.
